As KB Components invest heavily in their machine park, they also update and expand their NX CAD/CAM solutions
KB Components, seated in Örkelljunga, Sweden, provides their market with moulded components. Their customers are industrial companies, especially in the automotive industry.
After investing in new moulding machines KB Components acquired a massive milling machine with five axis at the end of 2018. The milling machine can handle even the largest molding tools and can manage ten tons on its work table. KB Components has in recent years grown both organically and through acquisitions, and this investment will shorten lead times for repair work and further ensure delivery precision of molded details. In addition they will have an over capacity in the machine hall and can offer external companies machine services that are otherwise difficult to find in the region.
With an updated and hyper modern machine park KB Components also evaluated their CAD/CAM installation. Lennart Seger is Chief Engineer at KB Components and has extensive experience in CAD/CAM solutions. As advisor on the purchase of CAD/CAM support he says that choosing NX was a fundamental element in KB Components overall strategy.
“For us, the combination of NX CAD and NX CAM is a strategic choice. These stable and powerful tools work seamlessly together. Overall, it reduces the risk of sources of error and extra work”, says Lennart Seger.
"Although the system initially may be perceived as more expensive than other CAD or CAM solutions, the flawless functionality and smooth integration between NX CAD and NX CAM returns value fast," says Chief Engineer Lennart Seger.
For us at NEXTAGE it is exciting to be KB Components CAD/CAM supplier and follow their successful journey.
